MyNutriWeb CPD Webinar - Wednesday 3rd November 8pm - 9pm

Ahead of Sugar Awareness Week, our Campaign Lead, Dr Kawther Hashem and our Nutrition Manager, Holly Gabriel was invited to deliver a webinar on children’s, chaired by our Campaign Director, Katharine Jenner and hosted by MyNutriWeb. During the webinar, Holly and Kawther explains whether children need snacks and whether free sugars have a place in young children’s diet. Also, exploring on the use of misleading health claims on young children’s food.

World Action on Salt, Sugar and Health and PAHO - Webinar Tuesday 9th November 2021, 2pm GMT

To mark our first World Sugar Awareness Week, PAHO in collaboration with WASSH are holding a webinar with the aim of raising awareness of the harmful effects of sugary drinks, as well as discussing the various policy actions to address high and growing consumption. The theme of this year's World Sugar Awareness Week is 'Sweet or Sour? Sweet drinks conceal a sour truth'. Join us to hear from:

Action on Sugar supports Food Matters Live 2021 

This year, we are once again supporting Food Matters Live, which is from 16-17th November and will provide new innovation and insights sessions led by many speakers tackling everything from sustainable food systems, to the future of sustainable nutrition and global retail trends and much more.

  • Campaign Director, Katharine Jenner speaking about reformulation including nutrient profile innovation and improvement to reduce obesity. Katharine will also share successful reformulation across a variety of categories
  • Public and Policy Affairs Manager, Mhairi Brown will be in a debate discussing whether the current obesity policy is suffieicient to turn the tide on obesity? And would achieving those targets adequately address the critical public health crisis from early years to adulthood?
