Action on Sugar Chairman gives evidence at the Health Committee's Childhood Obesity Inquiry

Health Committee discusses Child Obesity Strategy

The Health Committee have launched an inquiry to determine what the Government’s policy priorities should be for addressing childhood obesity. Action on Sugar's Chairman, Professor Graham MacGregor, was asked to give evidence alongside Dr Paul Darragh, Board of Science, British Medical Association and Malcolm Clark, Co-ordinator, Children’s Food Campaign. The panel discussed the likely impact of a 20% tax on sugary drinks on obesity.
